Hey folks and friends,
Exciting news—the next phase of the album has arrived! Namely, crowdfunding to help get it finished. That’s right, I’ve taken part in the time-honored tradition of indie artists everywhere and I’ve launched a Kickstarter to help get the album done.
I won’t lie, asking people for money to fund a creative project makes me feel like breaking out in hives. So I thought long and hard about what exactly I would want out of a crowdfunding campaign if I decided to go that route and the number one thing I kept coming back to was having a physical CD.
The idea of being able to hold a CD of my own music makes my heart feel so full. After so many years of having my music only exist in bars, on stages, in people’s living rooms, and a couple of Spotify tracks, I would finally be able to give someone a CD and say, “This is what my music’s about.” It’s not a lofty goal or an impossible dream by any measure, but it would make me feel so proud to have finally accomplished it.
So that’s the main goal of my Kickstarter. Getting the recordings mixed, mastered, and put onto some nice little CDs (physical media, baybeeee!). I’ve got some cool rewards I’m offering, like linocut prints, t-shirts, house concerts, and (my personal favorite) a sticker pack, featuring my own dearly departed cat.
If you’re able to help out, I will be eternally grateful. Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing deal, so I’ve gotta raise the full amount to be successful. If you can’t add anything right now, you can always share with your friends and networks. Every little bit helps!
The campaign is going to last for 30 days and you know what? I believe in us (that’s you and me) and I think we’ll get there. Go team!

Much love,
Sarah
P.S.
What’s this? Samuel L. Jackson?? He’s assembling a team???
Okay no, but what I do have here is a little sneak peak of what’s gonna be on the album. An end credits bonus scene, if you will. A little teaser of what’s to come. An amuse bouche.
This is a little song about moths called Circles in the Night. I hope you enjoy!
